Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

This is the privacy policy for Trauma to Thriving, run by Tsahai De Silva, Ryde, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. It explains what happens to your details when you sign up for the daily email, in plain English.

What I collect. When you sign up, I collect your first name and your email address. That is all. I do not ask for anything else, and I do not go looking for anything else about you.

Why I collect it. Two reasons, both tied to the email you asked for. First, to send you the morning email each day, which is a quote, a short reflection, and one thing to try that day. Second, to send you the odd note about the book as it is written, and later about its release. Your name is there for one reason only, so the email can greet you by it.

Who else sees it. Your details are held in MailerLite, the service I use to send the emails. They store the list securely and handle it on my behalf. I do not sell your details, swap them, or pass them to anyone for their own use. The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to keep spam bots out, which sets its own cookies and is covered by Google's own privacy policy and terms.

How long I keep it. For as long as you want the emails. If you unsubscribe, you come off the active list. If you ask me to remove you completely, I do.

Your rights. You can unsubscribe whenever you like, using the link at the bottom of every email, with no reason needed and no reply needed. You can ask to see what I hold about you. You can ask me to correct it, or delete it entirely. For any of these, email me at [email protected]. If you ask me to delete your data, I delete it, on the list and anywhere else I have noted it.

Getting in touch. Any questions about your data, email me at the address above. If you are ever unhappy with how it is handled, you can also contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
